Attacking Freelance Projects One at a Time

It’s been such a busy summer/month/year. Simply finding time to sit down and work, even on good days, is hard. I’m finding it difficult to focus on one project at a time. My boyfriend even had to intervene in a harsh, but tender way, that I needed to stop making excuses and just sit down and finish one thing at a time.

He tells me I should do one thing at a time, but in my multi-tasking mommy brain, I know it’s simply not how my brain works. But I am trying to focus on LESS things at once at least. I figured that would be a good compromise.

I have set up my Fiverr and Upwork profiles. I’ve applied to a few jobs on Upwork and have gotten a few responses. Not necessarily stuff I wanted to do, but I figure if I keep fishing, I might get a bite. On Fiverr, I’ve been trying to find creative gigs that I wouldn’t mind doing for $5.

I’ve also set up my Just20 website and have only started advertising it on Craigslist. I haven’t had time to work on the marketing side. I’ll be adding more items soon.

But now, my main project is writing a Udemy course to help people learn French the intuitive way. I can’t believe I haven’t thought of it sooner. It’s exactly in my field of expertise. And I think I’ve followed enough Udemy course to come up with one that’s interesting to follow. I have about 4 lessons done. Need 6 more to start the video and recording. I love this project because a one-time big effort can lead to passive income. All that it requires is some follow-up, a bit of marketing, and day-to-day improvements. So here I go!
